Welcome to ROMANIA
Romania is fortunate to be one of the few European countries generously blessed by nature. Here the different forms of relief harmonize to perfection, making up a whole of great beauty.

The Danube springs in Germany, washes several countries of the old continent and ends its journey on the Romanian territory where, before flowing into the Black Sea, it forms a picturesque delta covering 70 km in surface area. Along the three branches - Chilia, Sulina and Sfintul Gheorghe - the Danube displays a geographical realm that has always fascinated with its strange beauty and the mysteries of primitive life.

Romania is located in Southeastern Europe, bordered by Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. The Danube River shapes most of the southern boundary before entering the Black Sea, which forms Romania's eastern boundary. Romania's area is about 91,700 square miles (slightly smaller than Oregon). The capital is Bucharest with 2.2 million residents.

Why fishing in Danube River ?
The Danube is classed as one of the last wildernesses of Europe and is largely unexplored, especially by the European angler. There are acres and acres of weed fringed lagoons and backwaters just waiting for the intrepid angler to explore. The place to head for is probably Sfintu Gheorghe, a town which lies on the southernmost of the three main channels by which the Danube flows through the wetlands, not far from where the delta's outermost edge spreads into the Black Sea.
The species are of course carp and catfish. This untouched part of the world could throw up something spectacular in the next few years.
